Join the fight!
Food insecurity can happen unexpectedly. Suddenly, you’re facing impossible choices: Do I buy food, or put gas in my car to go to work? Do I feed my family, or pay to have a safe place to live?
Each month, Food for Greater Elgin provides client choice food visits to more than 1,200 families facing choices like these. As an agency partner of the Northern Illinois Food Bank, we are able to source low cost products to service the needs of our clients and make your donations go farther. In fact, we have grown to be in the top 2% of food pantries that partner with Northern Illinois Food Bank!
September is Hunger Action Month, and we urge you to join us in the fight against hunger. For $100, you can provide a family of four with a month’s worth of food. With $500, you could sponsor 20 people.
How many families would you like to help today?
Your gifts represent an investment in ongoing hope and stability. Together we are changing how food insecurity is addressed in our community. We, and those we serve, are sincerely grateful for your generosity—we truly could not do this without you.
Donations can be made by check or online by clicking here.
P.S. Food For Greater Elgin will also be participating in Elgin’s second annual Hunger Summit. Join us at the Gail Borden Public Library on September 20. Find out more at elgincoopministry.com/events.
