New Services for Seniors and Others Considered ‘High Risk’

Food for Greater Elgin has expanded its range of services to meet the food insecurity brought upon us by the Covid-19 pandemic.  We have:

• Opened a new distribution time for ‘seniors only’ on Fridays from Noon to 1 p.m.
• Partnered with Senior Services Associates, Salvation Army, and Rotary clubs to deliver food to seniors who are unable to go out for groceries, delivering food twice a month to homes.  Call (847) 741-0404 to get on the list!
• Deliver food to people with special health considerations once a week.
• Provide food in bulk orders to low income senior living facilities.
