FFGE is excited to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors.
Maria Borrero is a community relations specialist with the Elgin Police Department, working with
seniors and the broader Hispanic community. She has previous experience as a Hispanic liaison specialist for
school district U-300. A native of Puerto Rico, she is a graduate of Elgin Community College and the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Centro de Informacion.
Adam Hogan is the Vice President of Business Banking of Blackhawk Bank. A native of Illinois and
graduate of Rock Valley College and the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana, Adam lives with his
family in Pingree Grove and has been an active volunteer with Cal’s Angles and the Alignment
Collaborative for Education with School District U-46.
George Santiago is the Vice President of Elgin State Bank, specializing in Business Banking with a special interest in banking for Hispanic businesses. A native of Chicago with parents from Puerto Rico, George was introduced to food and the need for food through his parents’ grocery stores. George is a graduate of Northeastern University.
