The work of Food for Greater Elgin is made possible through generous donations from individuals, groups, other nonprofits, and corporate partnerships. Many thanks to those who gave so generously in the month of June, including:
Bank of America gives $15,000
The Bank of America has awarded Food for Greater Elgin $15,000 to help fund our work in the coming year. In their letter announcing the gift, they noted that “Bank of America is lending, investing and giving in local communities like yours in order to advance local economies and create positive change. Providing support to organizations like Food for Greater Elgin, that are providing critical services and programs is just one of the ways we are helping improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.” Food for Greater Elgin is grateful for the Bank of America’s support!
Elgin Cooperative Ministry gives $15,500
Elgin Cooperative Ministry, a group of Elgin area churches, synagogues, and other religious groups, awarded Food for Greater Elgin $15,500 at its June meeting. This money, raised by contributions by local religious groups and fundraisers like the Elgin CROP walk, will provide funding for local food pantries and soup kettles to get resupplied at Food for Greater Elgin.
Thank you, ECM and Bank of America, for funding our mission!
