Food for Greater Elgin marked the end of our ‘Change for Hunger’ campaign on Wednesday, March 14, with our ‘Champions of Change’ celebration at Danny’s Pizza in Elgin, sponsored by Hopp Accounting & Tax services and the law offices of Ariano Hardy Ritt Nyuli Richmond Lytle & Goettel P.C.

Fifteen schools participated in the campaign this year, as well as 12 Community Partners. Together, these ‘Champions of Change’ raised over $21,000—an incredible amount by every standard! We celebrated their impressive work with pizza, awards, and of course, chocolate gold coins.
We are so proud of the young people in our community and of their commitment to making the world a better place. They have inspired all of us at Food for Greater Elgin, and we are grateful for their generosity and hard work. To all you Champions of Change: Thank you. You’ve proven that any donation, at any age, can make a huge difference!
‘Change for Hunger’ is an annual fundraising event that occurs over several months of the school year, primarily engaging students and local schools.
