New Emergency Food Site

Food for Greater Elgin and Well Child Center to open a joint emergency food site.

At the urging of Northern Illinois Food Bank, Food for Greater Elgin will open a satellite location at the Well Child Center. This partnership will provide emergency food supplies to the low-income families that are also served by the medical, dental, and WIC programs administered by the Well Child Center.

FFGE will deliver food (milk, eggs, and a limited array of shelf-stable materials) and provide the necessary cooler and freezer for the facility. Well Child Center will provide the staffing
and space for the operation.
