Elgin, IL—Food For Greater Elgin raised more than $50,000 at its 5th annual Pallet to Palate event on Monday, May 21 at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin. More than 260 area guests joined in the fun with tastings by local chefs and beverage-crafters, live music, raffles and a silent auction.
Food For Greater Elgin would like to extend special thanks to generous platinum event sponsors Joann Wabner Hartmann and Seigle Family Foundation, gold event sponsors Grand Victoria Casino, Karas Restaurant Group and Trafic Services, Inc. and silver sponsors Mueller & Co, LLP and Daily Herald Media Group.
All proceeds from the event benefited Food For Greater Elgin, which is a regional, client-choice food pantry where shoppers can select meat, fresh produce, dairy, deli, and shelf-stable items during their visits. Food For Greater Elgin serves residents of Elgin, South Elgin, East and West Dundee and has been an invaluable resource for many in the Fox Valley area since its founding in 2011. The organization works to combat food insecurity by regularly providing food and community resources to more than 6,300 people per month in order to stabilize lives. Over half the people served by the organization are children or the elderly.
