Andres Diez became the new Director of Development at FFGE on March 14, 2022.
A retired international banker, Andres began volunteering with us in 2021 and has served in the warehouse, delivered food to those who are shut-in, and registered new guests.
Andres is a native of Cuba. His family fled to Spain after Castro’s come to power in the 1960s, and he came to the United States when he was 11. That experience connected him to FFGE: “In helping to register new guests, I saw people who were just like myself, only without the advantages that I’ve had in my life. This is a way of giving back.”
The Board noted his passion for serving people in need and his wide array of work experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations.
Welcome, Andres!
