Long time board member Scott Richmond will step up to be chair of the Board of Directors of Food for Greater Elgin in July, replacing Mike Warren who returns to a ‘normal’ seat on the Board. It is a not-unfamiliar role for Richmond, who was previously chair of the Board from 2013 to 2015. Joining Richmond in leadership roles include Michael Storey of Beckatt Solutions who will serve as vice chair, Rachel Traficanti of Maintenance Coatings Company, who serves as Secretary of the Board, and James Hare III of MuellerCPA, who serves as Treasurer.
This coming a year, the Board will re-examine the role and business
practices of Food for Greater Elgin, building on the core values of
compassion, food security, and sustainability to create a model of service that will serve the communities we serve for long into the future.
