Food for Greater Elgin is looking for 3 to 4 additional members for its Board of Directors.
Board Members meet monthly, on the 2nd Friday of the month, at 7:30 a.m. Board members are expected to:
- Participate actively in the life of the Pantry, serving on, as appropriate, Board Committees, the work of the Pantry in the community, and as part of the ‘face’ of the organization in the community.
- Contribute financially to the support of FFGE through a minimum ‘give-get’ of $2,500.
- Serve as the governing body of Food for Greater Elgin.
At the present time, FFGE is in need of members who:
- Live and are connected within FFGE’s service of Elgin, South Elgin, East, and West Dundee.
- Have deep connections to this area’s Hispanic and African American communities.
- Are connected to some part of the wide variety of business communities in the greater Elgin area (including education, medicine, banking, and government).
